Life becomes right when...

Resentment becomes understanding;

Fear becomes trust;

Selfishness becomes love;

Dissatisfaction becomes truth;

Taking becomes serving.

Everything is okay in the end.

If it's not okay,

then it's not the end.

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time

That I'd see you fall asleep,

I would tuck you in more tightly

and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time

that I see you walk out the door,

I would give you a hug and kiss

and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time

I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,

I would video tape each action and word,

so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,

I could spare an extra minute

to stop and say "I love you,"

instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time

I would be there to share your day,

Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,

so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow

to make up for an oversight,

and we always get a second chance

to make everything just right.

There will always be another day

to say "I love you,"

And certainly there's another chance

to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,

and today is all! I get,

I'd like to say how much I love you

and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,

young or old alike,

And today may be the last chance

you get to hold your loved one tight.

Outstanding Job

John Ware received an award from the Sons of The American Revolution for an essay he submitted.  At a special presentation he received a certificate and will be receiving a cash award.  John’s essay has been sent on to the next level for judging.  Congratulations John on your writing and continue the good work.  John is a senior at Sebring High School.

Congratulations

Congratulations to James Naugle who is a freshman this year at Sebring High School.  James competed this week with the Men’s Varsity Choir and with the Concert Choir at Fort Meade.  Both choirs will now advance to state.  James also was a power forward with the JV Basketball team this year.  The team had a very successful year.

Youth

All 6th - 12th grade students and their parents are invited to our first "Guess Who's Coming to Devo" on March 5th at 7:00 pm at the church building.  In an effort to help our youth get to know the rest of the congregation, we will be inviting guests to join us for our devotional. If you are interested in being one of our guests, or if you would like to host a youth event in your home, please let Chris Fowler know.

HEAR

But He said, "More than that, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"
      (Luke 11: 28).

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they
believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a
      preacher? (Romans 10: 14).

BELIEVE

"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be
      condemned (Mark 16: 16).

And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written
in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son
of God, and that believing you may have life in His name (John 20: 30).

REPENT

Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of
Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”
     (Acts 2: 38).

"…but declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and throughout all the region
of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works
      befitting repentance (Acts 26: 20).

CONFESS

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father
who is in heaven" (Matthew 10: 32).

But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the
word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"
     (Romans 10: 8 - 9).

BE BAPTIZED

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven
and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all
things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the
     age." Amen (Matthew 28: 18 - 20).

"And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling
on the name of the Lord" (Acts 22: 16).
