VOTE
In Florida, the voters will go to the polls on August
31st, 2004 and again in November to choose local,
state and national candidates to serve us for the next 2 to 6
years. In the
national presidential race the outcome will have a profound
impact on the future of this country.
In
Romans 13 we read:
“(1)
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is
no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of
God.”
“(2)
Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is
due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom
honour.” (KJV)
In 2000, the voting came down to the wire; it was
close. One vote can make a difference.
You can make a difference!
Because of my position, I am not allowed to publicly
endorse any candidate. I
can, however, urge each one of you to carefully examine the
Scriptures, carefully examine each candidate at each level and
proposed amendments, and then vote.
You can make a difference.
You won’t, though, if you “stay home.”
