HEAR
But He said, "More than that,
blessed are those who hear the word
of God and keep it!" (Luke 11: 28).
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how
shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And
how shall they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10: 14).
BELIEVE
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does
not believe will be condemned (Mark 16: 16).
And truly Jesus did many other signs
in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in
this book; but these are written that you may believe that
Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you
may have life in His name (John 20: 30).
REPENT
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be
baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of
sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit”
(Acts 2: 38).
"…but
declared first to those in Damascus and in Jerusalem, and
throughout all the region of Judea, and then to the
Gentiles, that they should repent, turn to God, and do works
befitting repentance (Acts 26: 20).
CONFESS
"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also
confess before My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 10: 32).
But what does it say? "The word
is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is,
the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God
has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10: 8 - 9).
BE BAPTIZED
And Jesus came and spoke to them,
saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven
and on earth. Go
therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have
commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end
of the age." Amen (Matthew 28: 18 - 20).
"And now why are you waiting? Arise and be
baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of
the Lord" (Acts
22: 16). |
